or weddings and therefore not listed below.

19th April Ceilidh at Milborne Port
Hall to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support Charity.
Milborne Port is between Sherborne and Henstridge on A30.

POST SCRIPT:
the evening was sold out with 120 tickets 2 weeks before
the event, we all had a great time and the organiser was
very pleased to have raised £2,200 for the charity.

24th May Ceilidh at the Exchange,
Sturminster Newton to help rasie funds for this fabulous
new building. 7.30pm start, but ring 01258 475137 for
further details.
Fri.
20th June The Fillie Loo at Ashmore
near Shaftesbury. This is a great annual event that is part
of the Ashmore Village Fete. A must if you haven't been
before. It is an outside free event held around the village
pond, the band is on a greenery covered farm trailer,
plenty of dancing and displays, the finale is at dusk
(about 10.00pm) featuring the wonderful atmospheric pagan
'Abbot Bromley's horn dance' illuminated by flaming torches
and for the last dance a massive circle is created right

21st June Ceilidh at Corfe Hills
School, Broadstone, another great annual event, that is
arranged by the sports dept. to raise funds for the young
teams to go abroad and play other school teams. Starts

12th July Ceilidh at Abbey School,
St James', Shaftesbury as a fund raiser for the church. A
fun event for all the family to come and have a good time.
